Laura South

Laura South

Nutritionist
Laura is passionate about creating plant-based menus using locally sourced seasonal ingredients which are nutritious, wholesome and bursting with flavour! She advocates a holistic approach to food; combining pulses, gluten free grains, legumes, fruit and vegetables which aim to keep you satiated whilst full of energy and mental clarity. She adds the magic ingredient of love into each mouthful. Laura has always held a deep belief that nutrition plays a huge role in our overall wellbeing. Her passion was ignited many years ago when she saw the quote by Hippocrates which states, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food". Wishing to combine her love for food with her new way of eating she went on to study at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. She interned with Jiva Healing in 2019 and graduated with a diploma as a Natual Vegan Chef in 2020. She has since joined us at our retreats in Oxford and Devon.
Uma Vijaya

Uma Vijaya

Yoga Therapist, Thai Yoga Massage Therapist, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapist
Uma is a Yoga Therapist, a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist and an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapist. Her journey into Yoga and Tantra was set in motion in her late teens while experiencing persistent bouts of anxiety and depression along with gastric distress, addiction, and a constant feeling of being stuck in an existential crisis. Yoga was her way of feeling better and she would regularly attend a variety of yoga classes, as well as practicing at home from books. Uma then spent the best of five years in India and with the help of her teachers and much dedication to learning and practice, she recovered her mental and physical health and began to experience ever evolving levels of vitality and clarity through the practice of Yoga, Tantra and Ayurveda. She found her true passion and purpose - to share in Yoga as a way of life that allows for meaningful transformation. She believes that through yogic practices one can bridge deeper levels of consciousness, empowering one’s own healing and clarity of perception. Uma believes that we all have a deep capacity to heal and transform not only ourselves, but the entire collective.
