Brock Cottage is located in the heart of the Cotswolds, a short drive from Chipping Norton and Kingham. It is a newly renovated 7-bedroom cottage with beautiful rooms, a large kitchen and dining area, lots of places to chill out and relax as well as a wonderful yoga studio with huge windows overlooking the gardens. Brock Cottage is located on the edge of Foxholes Nature Reserve, providing a wonderful place for walks in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

More about the Retreat

In this weekend retreat, you will have the opportunity to take part in healthy plant-based cooking classes that will help you to become more creative in the kitchen. You will learn how to create meals that will be healthy, satisfying, and fun to make. You will learn about macro-nutrient balance, times of the day for optimal digestion and assimilation, how stress affects digestion and why it's important to relax while eating. You will also learn about common allergens in foods and how to easily avoid them, as well as effective ways of balancing blood sugar. You will leave with a collection of recipes that are all fully plant-based as well as dairy and gluten-free.

More and more research is showing the important role that stress-reduction plays with illness on many levels. This weekend retreat will teach you the importance of slowing down and relaxing, and the positive impact that can have on digestion, assimilation and energy levels. Leave feeling inspired and motivated to carry on with a healthy lifestyle.

Daily yoga classes will also be part of the program and there will be a team of professional massage therapists on hand to give a variety of treatments. Please note that massages are not included in the price of the retreat.

More About our Yoga Teacher

Liz trained with the British Wheel of Yoga and has been writing practice books on yoga ever since she started teaching in 1995. Liz enjoys sharing yoga as an art form, embracing the senses with embodiment, movement, breath, word, sound, touch, scent. She teaches workshops and retreats & has been training yoga teachers for 20 years with the Yogacampus linked with the Life Centre in London. She is currently studying ‘Somatic Experiencing’ which goes hand in hand with yoga as a healing journey to wholeness of Self. Pema Chodrun’s quote: "the root of compassion is compassion for oneself" is at the forefront of her approach - supportive, creative and explorative. Both an author and an artist, Liz celebrates yoga as art and how to live comfortably in one’s skin.
