Littleton Mill is a 17th-century Wiltshire water mill set in ten acres of woodland and meadow on Semington Brook. Its large yoga space looks out over the water. The perfect venue for relaxing and rejuvenating. The Mill is run entirely on renewable energy . It is just a few minutes away from the Kennet and Avon canal, a great place for walking, cycling or boating.

Wiltshire is an ancient county of unspoiled quiet beauty. Littleton is located between the villages of Semington and Seend. The nearest towns are Trowbridge (10 minutes), Chippenham (15 minutes), Bath (20 minutes), and Melksham (5 minutes). There are numerous historic places of interest and areas of natural beauty to visit in the surrounding areas.

NOTE:  These prices are based on two people sharing a room. Single supplement charges are £160.  Our prices include accommodation at Littleton Mill, all classes, and all food and drink. Massages and travel costs are not included. There are only six guest rooms available and these are allocated to customers on a first come first served basis.

More about the Retreat

In this weekend retreat you will have the opportunity to take part in cooking classes that will help you to become more creative in the kitchen. You will learn how to create meals that will be healthy, satisfying and fun to make. You will learn about macro-nutrient balance, times of the day for optimal digestion and assimilation, how stress affects digestion and why it's important to relax while eating. You will learn about common allergens in foods and how to easily avoid them as well as effective ways of balancing blood sugar. All recipes will be vegetarian and dairy and gluten-free.

More and more research is showing the important role that stress-reduction plays with illness on many levels. This weekend retreat will teach you the importance of slowing down and relaxing, and what that can mean for digestion, assimilation and energy levels.

Twice daily yoga classes will also be part of the program and we will have a team of professional massage therapists on hand to give a variety of treatments, including Foot Reflexology, Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Massage and Organic Facials. (Please note that massages are not included in the price of the retreat.)

Jemima Croker journeys to India each year to deepen her practice, exploring the healing powers of asana, pranayama and meditation. The foundation of her teaching is that physical Yoga is the first step on an inward journey; that feeling the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit within our own selves helps us to realise our connection to others, our environment and the elements that make up the universe.

Physically, it is a dynamic but sensitive practice that aims to enhance the prana (energy) throughout all the channels of the body, leading the body through the fundamentals of an effective Hatha Yoga practice and exploring unfamiliar pathways that generate a flow state and circulate energy. The practice is based on four main principles that cultivate strength, flexibility, stability and relaxation whilst removing stress on a physical and emotional level; move actively, move from the centre, move with flow and breathe naturally.

Jemima believes that with practice, Yoga cultivates the embodied recognition of body, mind and spirit as one, and that this physical experience of union naturally gives rise to qualities of awareness, acceptance and interconnectedness for you to share with the world through your interpersonal relationships.
